For the Editor: In Buckminster Fullers poem [OpEd March 27], he Universal Energy states that “Physics exhibits that universal Vitality is undiminishable.” Afterwards he states the universe can be an “eternally inexhaustible, Power program of Omniāselfregenerative celestial mechanics.”
It seems Mr. Fuller has never taken a study course in thermodynamics. There is a quaint notion often known as entropy. Only said, it tells us that in any transform of condition, there effects an irretrievable lack of energy. Or, To place it in laymans language, the Strength, of the universe is working downhill.
The Times http://edition.cnn.com/search/?text=universal energy tells us that Mr. Fuller is definitely an inventor, philosopher and poet Undoubtedly. But a physicist he isnt.
